ABOUT WILD CRAFT CLUB

Nikki, Vidilia, and Gina at the ocean

Wild Craft Club was born from watching one wild soul see the world as a constant invitation to create.

Sticks and stones and a pocket full of acorns came home from preschool. We built a pile, then filled a basket, then created little homes for all the treasures. Leaves bigger than her head graced our front porch while Vidilia was in forest school. That was the beginning — though we didn't know it yet.

From the time she could barely crawl, Vidilia was arranging the world around her — bath toys, blocks, wood chips — into something beautiful. That instinct never faded. It grew into flower arrangements, collaged art pieces, and nature mandalas made from pine cones, lavender, leaves, smooth pebbles, and tiny baby oranges plucked from the navel orange tree out back. She doesn't just make things. She becomes what she makes, unfolding like a Monarch butterfly that was always meant to fly.

She is the heart and the inspiration behind everything Wild Craft Club is.

Vidilia is also a born entrepreneur. She runs the best lemonade stand in the neighborhood. At age four, she asked if we'd build her a small shed — a café and shop — for the front yard. She sketched out the design herself. She still asks us when we're going to build it. Now she's heading into first grade and we're building something bigger — a club worthy of everything she is.

Our Why

Wild Craft Club started with a feeling we kept having at forest school and outdoor playschool — that we'd found our people, and we didn't want to lose them. We just wanted more of it, and a place to keep gathering.

The moment it became real was last winter when Nikki gave Vidilia five nature craft books. The first thing she did was find them a home in her room. Then she went through the one about starting a club, announced she wanted to start one, and carefully marked every page of every craft she wanted to make. She already had a plan — the first session in our backyard studio, the second in the forest.

Nikki knew right then that she was going to build it for her.

This is that club. And now they're growing it together — one wild soul at a time.

The Wild Ones

The Family Behind the Wild

Wild Craft Club is a family affair — built by two people who lead with heart, held together by complementary strengths, and sparked into existence by one extraordinary kid. Small but mighty, we show up with everything we've got. We're growing, and we'd love for the right people to grow with us.

Nikki Solone

Nikki is a contemporary fine artist, devoted maker, and the creative force behind Wild Craft Club's workshops and experiences. A Studio Art graduate of Mount Holyoke College, her love of creating started before she could hold a paintbrush steady — legos, crayons in a bucket, and a childhood certainty that she would one day become an architect. That instinct to build and make never left. Over the past two decades she has painted commissioned portraits, captured the souls of beloved animals through her Pet PawTraits practice, and built a body of work rooted in beauty, authenticity, and heart. Travel has deepened all of it. From painting plein air in Havana to being proposed to on the steps of the Bangkok post office, she has collected a lifetime of unexpected wonder and human kindness — moments that find their way into everything she creates. Becoming a mother later in life cracked her wide open creatively, and Wild Craft Club is where that new energy lives and grows.

Gina Flaharty

Gina spent 30 years as a nurse practitioner — which means she brings equal parts heart, precision, and calm to everything she touches. She's the executive functioning half of this partnership, the steady anchor to Nikki's creative spark, and by most accounts the life of the party. Vibrant, warm, and widely regarded as the kindest person in any room, she has a gift for making people feel genuinely welcome — which makes her a natural fit for everything Wild Craft Club is building. Her love of nurturing things runs deep, whether that's a patient, a project, or a garden. When she's not keeping Wild Craft Club on track, you'll find her behind a drum kit, with her hands in the soil, or somewhere on the other side of the world — she has explored nearly 50 countries and counting. That insatiable curiosity and love of discovery is woven into everything she brings to the club.

See you on the wild side.

Wild Craft Club lives and gathers on the ancestral homeland of the Nisenan people — the original stewards of this land.

We carry that with us.
